Brianna had a wonderful 2nd birthday. We celebrated on her actual birthday with a cake, cards from family members, and a gift - her Happy Tunes Coupe :-) She got frustrated when trying to blow out the candle on her cake, so started crying while we were singing happy birthday to her. I have to admit, it was quite funny...unfortunately, I got it on my video camera instead of my digital camera, so am not sure how to get that onto my computer.
Last weekend we had a family birthday party for Brianna. She had a blast! We had beautiful weather and were able to be outside for much of the party. She loves all of her new toys and clothes...she was up playing with the toys that night until 10:30! Can't believe my baby is already 2 years old! Where does the time go?!
My mom and I took Brianna to Sesame Street Live last Friday evening. She LOVED it! She was amazed at first, and then wanted to walk down the aisle to "Go see Elmo!" By the end of the show, she was dancing in her seat, clapping her hands, and singing :-)

Austin has started his baseball season. He's playing for a Knothole team and seems to really be enjoying it. Here are some pictures from his first game:
And finally, since Brianna's Mary Had a Little Lamb rendition was so popular, here is another video of her singing in the bathtub...
Brianna loved Easter this year. She really got into the egg hunts, and loved the candy she found in the eggs and in her baskets. That was one problem...she saw a piece of candy (namely a mini Reese's Cup) and immediately tried to open that instead of seeing what else was in her basket. I did try to open and hold the Reese's Cups for her to eat, so she wouldn't get chocolate on her pretty Easter outfits. So once we were finally home on Easter evening and she was settling down for bed, she ran into the kitchen to where Steve and I were, holding an unwrapped Reese's Cup. She had found one hidden in the grass of her Easter basket that I had overlooked was so proud of herself for unwrapping it. She said "I did it myself!"
Brianna adores her big brother, Austin. When she was done finding all of her eggs, she was "helping" Austin find the 3 he still had left to find. Actually, she was just following him around doing everything he was doing :-) She even set her basket down next to his...
Brianna makes me laugh every day. She is already a girly girl...likes shoes and jewelry! Lately she likes to wear Mommy's shoes. And she suprisingly does a pretty good job of walking in those heels!
She had her first swim lesson last weekend and did very well. She was excited about putting her swim suit on that morning :-) We did have to coax her into the water, but once she got in, she started to get more comfortable pretty quickly. She was stepping off the side of the pool into the water to me when I said "1, 2, 3, jump!", blowing bubbles, relaxing on her back, and paddling forward to get a ball in front of her. Pretty good for the first class!
The next few pictures I just had to post because they are cute :-)
Welcome to the Horner family blog! I know I have not been good about sending pictures out via email lately, so thought this would be a better way to keep family and friends updated on what is going on with our family. Just bookmark this site and check back frequently for updates!
Below are some pictures from the last couple of months. The kids are doing great. Austin is doing well in 6th grade and just got honor roll on his 3rd quarter report card. He is now on Spring Break, so hopefully there will be some nice weather in the next week so he can enjoy some time outside! Brianna is getting bigger every day, and is talking in sentences now. She is at such a great age, it's so funny to hear some of the things that come out of her mouth. Watch this video to hear her rendition of Mary Had a Little Lamb :-) A musician in the making!

22 months old...where does the time go?!
In February, Steve and I took a trip to Punta Cana, where we got to enjoy some relaxation and sun while 18+ inches of snow were piled up back home. Can't complain about that!
