We went to a family wedding last weekend. I believe it was the first wedding Brianna and Trey (obviously) had ever been to. We all enjoyed it! Austin showed us his moves on the dance floor. Trey got passed around between family members, so was held the entire night. Brianna got to eat cake, was amazed by the bride, and was all over the dance floor!
Brianna had her first soccer practice on Monday. She did pretty well, but actually hid behind me at one point and said "I'm shy." I said "No you are not! Get out there!" Too funny. We found out about the practice late because the coach was given my wrong email address. So Brianna was not as prepared for the practice as the other kids, not having cleats or her own ball. She was able to borrow someone else's pink ball and ended up doing pretty well. She now should be all set with her new cleats, black shorts and shin guards (which she didn't want me to buy because "black is not her favorite color"), a shiny purple ball, and a pink water bottle, so I think she will be more excited about her next practice :-)
At Trey's 4 month checkup, the doctor said it would be fine if we went ahead and started giving him some food. She said we could wait until 6 months, but that eating is something that babies have to learn, just like with anything else. I thought I was going to wait until closer to 6 months to start feeding him baby food, but after talking to the doctor, I decided to go ahead and see how he did with it. I have made his food so far using fresh vegetables and fruit. His first food was sweet potatoes, which he didn't like very well! The second food he tried was bananas, which he loves!!! Here is a video and some pictures of him trying sweet potatoes for the first time :-)
Before picture...all clean
Not so sure about this...
After Trey eats, he goes straight to the bathtub. We've recently had to put his baby bathtub into the larger bathtub instead of in the kitchen sink because of how much he kicks while in the water! I tried to get it on video. He was actually a little more tame than usual while I had the camera going.
