Splish Splash

Brianna's first dance recital was on May 14. She danced to "Splish Splash, I was taking a Bath." She loved dance class this year, looked forward to it every week. I was nervous she would get on the stage, be all out of sorts and not do the dance. When we got to the rehearsal though, she could not wait for her turn on the stage. She did an awesome job that night and at the actual recital. We are very proud of her! :-)

Two Months

Trey is two months old today!  He is continuing to put on weight...eating constantly.  I can only imagine how much food we will go through when he is a teenager!  He is becoming a lot more active and interactive.  He seems to enjoy his play mat and likes to be held facing out so he can see the world.  His smile is my favorite newer thing (though he's been showing that off for about 4 weeks now).  He smiles quite a bit and has "conversations" with us :-)

I took the kids to the zoo today - Trey's first time there.  Brianna refused to posed for a picture with him until the very end.  And at that point she was so tired from walking the whole time that she just couldn't wait to get to the car so her "legs could take a nap."

Bri's First Haircut

Brianna had been asking me for about a month to get her hair cut.  She saw that Rapunzel got her hair cut, so wanted to do the same :-)  I finally found some time to schedule an appointment with our friend, Miss Bridgette, at Mi Salon! 

 



Brianna is 3!

It's hard to believe 3 years have already gone by since our little princess was born.  She woke up on her birthday with a stomach bug, but it only lasted about 12 hours.  By that evening she was asking to play outside in her sandbox.  Family and a few friends friends helped us celebrate Brianna's birthday on Sunday.  My friend, Anna, made an awesome princess castle cake that Brianna loved.

Go Reds!

We took Brianna to her first Reds game Saturday evening.  We didn't get there in time to get a Joey Votto bobblehead, but we still had fun!  Brianna especially liked her Dippin' Dots ice cream, and the peanuts the people behind us were giving her.  Before the game started, she blew kisses to Rosie Red on the field.  Rosie caught the kisses :-)  The game went into extra innings, so we ended up leaving at the end of the 9th because it was so late.  The important thing is that they did end up winning!!

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend - time spent with family, great food, and four Easter egg hunts that Brianna thoroughly enjoyed (all inside due to this rainy April weather).  Brianna proved to be the best egg-hunter.  There was one last egg Austin was unable to find at our house.  So then I started looking for it as well.  I had been looking for a few minutes and walked right by it when Brianna said "Austin forgot a blue egg!"  That little stinker found it! :-)
